Employing rubber as raw material, use mold to cure product under high temperature and pressure, called Rubber Molded Products. They can have wide range of size, such as auto tyre, or small one like Rubber Seals using in household appliance. The material, accuracy and venting of molds will affect the quality of molded rubber parts and its production efficiency.

Also, the suitable mold material, heat treatment, and other production process, die assembly quality will affect the useful lifespan of molds. Therefore, when designing mold, it must firstly has a careful analysis of the structure of rubber products, and then select a proper mould structure, material and thermal processing technology, so as to meet the demand of rubber parts, the using condition of molds, and to guarantee the mold which is easy to open. It will enhance productivity and service life.

In order to produce Rubber Products with accurate size, the mold designer shall have well knowledge of rubber hardness, shrinkage of different rubber content.

1.Compression molding - put rubber compound in the mold, and use two plates to compress and cure to form up the rubber parts. This kind of mold is suitable for producing Molded Rubber Parts with relatively simple structure or small size. And will have a joint line.

2.Transfer injection - the upper mold has a chamber, using compress power to transfer rubber compound into the mold and cure to produce out the rubber products. This mold fits for producing Rubber Products with small size but relatively complex structure. Will have a joint line.

3.Injection - add rubber material in feeding chamber, transferring it into mold by plunger. This mold need a particular injection chamber, it works well and make the production more efficient for producing big size rubber parts with complex structure.
