Comparing to other ordinary rubber and special polymer rubber, EPDM rubber has below advantages:
1. Higher cost performance
The density of raw rubber is only 0.85-0.9kg/m3, which is the lightest one in the density of raw rubber among ordinary rubber material. It allows to fill in a mass of stuff to decrease the rubber cost.

2. Great performance in aging resistance
EPDM rubber parts is able to resist weathering, ozone, ultraviolet radiation. Also good resistance to sunshine, water, high temperature. It can be compounded with other unsaturated diene rubber, such as NR、SBR、BR、NBR and CR etc.. In the compound, EPDM usually plays a part as polymer antioxidant or age resister.

3. Excellent chemical resistance
EPDM rubber is able to resist acid, alkali, detergent, animal and vegetable oil, alcohol, ketone, etc..

4. Good insulation performance
EPDM rubber has good insulation performance. Volume resistivity 1016Q·cm, Breakdown voltage 30-40MV/m, Dielectric Constant (1kHz, 20℃) 2.27.
