Currently, Rubber Dampers have wide applications, but they are not fit for all occasion. To select suitable rubber damper, firstly we need to know its property, and choose the one fit for the operation environment. The feature of rubber damper is that its shape and hardness can be designed according to specific demand, and it provides larger damping ratio than spring. Meanwhile, rubber damper has advantage of resisting shear, pull and pressure, also easy for assembly. Rubber damper also has its disadvantage such as relatively high inherent frequency, limited application environment. Normally the operating environment shall be controlled between -30℃ --- -70℃, some environment with chemical corrosion asks for rubber damper with special composition.

So far, the main rubber material suitable for making rubber damper has like nature rubber, CR, NBR (nitrile rubber). However, the current market is inundated with rubber damper made from recycle rubber with hard hand feel, no elastic, and the load-bearing compression ratio appear nonlinearity. This kind of rubber damper normally is rough surface with low damping effect, and easy to age. So be sure to select carefully to avoid buying such kind of rubber damper. 

The applied range of rubber damper: 1. shock isolation and noise control of high frequency rotating mechanical equipment, such as draught fan, water pump, generating set, air conditioning etc.. 2. Stamping equipment, the impact frequency shall be better to avoid the inherent frequency of rubber damper. This kind of equipment including punching machine, die-cutter, press machine, ect. 3. Result from the function that rubber damper can absorb shock from every direction, it is also widely used in automobile, aviation and navigation industries. 4. Other mechanical equipment.
